Frightening Fiasco

(01/17/2003)
For this situation you have to choose which of three infamous Monsters will best the other two, to "live" to scare the bejabbers out of the living who are careless enough to fail to heed Mom's advice about avoiding strangers. Which frightmeister will be on top of the heap? 1. Frankenstein's monster? (Quite an electrifying personality) 2. Lycanthropic Wolfman? His hobbies include moonbathing and howling during inclement weather--especially thick foggy nights 3. Giant evil Pookah? For every gentle, warm and fuzzy pookah, there's an opposite one pumped up on steroids and ready to lay waste to all those unlucky slobs visited by these long eared behemoths.
RE: What's a Pookha?
It's an Irish mythical beast. It can take any shape, but the common form is a horse; it would entice weary travellers to climb on its back, playing the part of a docile riding horse. Then suddenly it would take off at supernatural speed, taking the rider along for a wild ride from which they could not escape. The pookha was usually unaccompanied, but has been known to be put into service by the Tuatha De Danaan. The tale of the Goilla Dacker and his horse (v. "The High Deeds of Finn Mac Cool" by Rosemary Sutcliffe) is one example. The tales differ on whether the pookha was evil or just mischievous. Either way, it was not uncommon for the rider to die of fright.
